Vapo Group has announced the successful company-wide implementation of Qmarkets’ innovation management software. The decision resulted from Vapo Group’s need to harmonize working processes across multiple departments, break down communication barriers, and incentivize employees to contribute their ideas.
Jyväskylä, Finland, September 3rd, 2018 – Vapo Group, a major producer of environmentally-friendly energy solutions, has selected the flex edition of Qmarkets’ Q-ideate platform to crowdsource ideas from their employees. The platform will engage up to 1000 employees spread across Finland, Sweden, and Estonia.
Vapo Group is committed to delivering sustainable solutions to meet the evolving challenges posed by climate change, urbanisation, and pollution.
The company – which becomes Qmarkets’ first Finnish customer – reported an annual turnover of 419.8 million euros in 2017. However, because idea management was being handled manually in an inconsistent way across different departments, it was decided that using a digital innovation platform could harmonize collaboration and allow employees to work seamlessly across borders.
After evaluating a variety of idea management systems, Vapo Group launched an innovation pilot of Qmarkets’ Q-ideate platform in April, 2018.
“We needed a platform that we would be able to modify to suit our unique requirements as time went on.” Said Mia Suominen, Business area Director of Vapo.
“Qmarkets’ flex edition idea management product is the perfect solution, allowing us to quickly and easily make changes whenever we want through their user friendly self-admin tool”.
Vapo Group plans to use the Qmarkets platform to manage open innovation campaigns in the near future, gathering input and ideas from their customer base and partners. “It’s awesome to see another company with such a commitment to environmental wellbeing and renewable energy using our platform.” said Michael Stilger, Qmarkets’ Co-founder. “It will be very exciting to see the results of this project.”
