Heilbronn, Germany, March 28th, 2019 – Kreissparkasse Heilbronn is one of the largest savings banks in Germany and deeply connected to the city and the district of Heilbronn.
The banking world – and therefore Kreissparkasse Heilbronn – is currently undergoing a transformational process. This process has implications for the bank’s market, operations, and staff departments. To better prepare for the challenges of transformation, Kreissparkasse Heilbronn is implementing innovation management in a process-oriented manner, both to strengthen its culture of innovation and increase agility. In 2018, Qmarkets innovation platform was chosen in order to achieve this.
Since December 2018, more than 1,500 employees have had the opportunity to help shape the future of Kreissparkasse Heilbronn. The design of the platform has been completely adapted according to the corporate design of the bank and offers a quick and easy way to submit ideas.
The options for collaborating on and evaluating ideas were especially decisive factors that led to the Qmarkets platform being selected. Qmarkets’ support for the implementation and operation of the platform was exemplary. The launch of the platform was accompanied by extensive communication activities to encourage user participation.
The launch of the platform came as a result of a series of executive discussions. To promote ‘viral’ employee interest in the launch, an unnamed countdown clock was placed on the bank’s intranet home page, light bulb key chains were distributed, and light bulb stickers were attached to many Kreissparkasse locations.
Through the ‘idea campaign’ functionality of the Qmarkets platform, ideas and suggested solutions for different innovation questions are being collected. These range from small suggestions for improvements to big ground-breaking ideas. The response has been excellent. In the three campaigns completed thus far, 213 ideas were collected, and these were developed with over 110 comments. The response of the users has been positive throughout this process.
“Qmarkets’ support for the implementation and operation of the platform was exemplary. Since December 2018, more than 1,500 employees have had the opportunity to help shape the future of Kreissparkasse Heilbronn.”
The goal of allowing employees to participate in designing the future of Kreissparkasse Heilbronn, and to strengthen its culture of innovation, has been consistently achieved.
“We’re happy to have found the best solution with Qmarkets,” said Dainel Fischer, Head of the Executive Committee of Kreissparkasse Heilbronn.
