Innovative software, efficient processes and lean organizational forms are the value drivers of digital transformation in your company. Technologies such as SAP S/4HANA, Big Data Analytics and Robotics interact with today's modern management methods. The digital finance transformation is supported by digital costing strategies for sustained cost reduction, digital partnerships for innovative business models, and digital training for employees in your company. In the future, business, finance and IT will have to enter into a more sustainable and valuable partnership to meet the challenges of an agile and increasingly digital business world. In a digital eco system, a flexibly positioned Finance & IT division should ideally match the interplay of "core applications" and innovative software components to the business requirements. This results in the new role of the Chief Financial Officer as the "Chief Digital Officer" and the value driver in your company.

    Airbus, Prof. Dr. Axel Schönknecht
"Big business with start-up mentality" these or similar statements everybody has certainly already read or heard. In this context, the term "successful innovation management" is often used. The message contained therein suggests that innovations can be managed and thus similar successes are made possible as the today's large market players, go back to former start-ups. Proof or refuse is certainly difficult to evaluate. However, there are many examples which describe the systematic success of product, process and business model ideas. However, many companies, especially large companies, find it very difficult to select suitable examples and to transfer them to their own circumstances. The cause of this is frequently misunderstood innovation management.
The subject of the lecture are selected methods of innovation management, which are also taught at the International School of Management (University of Applied Sciences). One focus is on the training of future management in order to enable innovations and to promote them successfully in large companies.
